An Hermès 70 cm silk scarf embodies tremendous luxury that can be worn and enjoyed in dozens of ways. Beloved by celebrities, heads of state, and fashion moguls the world over, Hermès scarves add vivid color, extraordinary pattern, and sheer elegance to any ensemble. The 70cm x 70cm (27.6”x27.6”) Hermès scarf originally featured equestrian designs and prints, though floral prints, stripes, geometrics, landscapes, and many more designs have grown in popularity over the years.

Like all Hermès scarves, the 70cm square is the final result of meticulous craftsmanship that may take up to 18 months to complete. An individual hand-engraved plate is created for every color in the scarf. On average, Hermès scarves contain 27 different colors, while some designs include many more. Once the soft silk has been precision printed with each plate, the scarf must be hand-rolled and hemmed. Then, finally, it is folded by hand, wrapped in tissue paper, and placed in that iconic orange box.

Hermès 70cm Silk Scarves For Sale

In addition to the Hermès 70 scarf, our collection includes the 90cm Hermès scarf, pocket squares, and Twillies; the long, narrow scarves often used to dress up an Hermès handbag. In addition to the exquisite scarves, we also offer the extravagant 140cm Hermès shawls, typically rendered in a luxurious silk and cashmere blend.

The Hermès 70 scarf is one of the most beloved of all Hermès accessories and certainly one of the most versatile. Queen Elizabeth wears the Hermès 70 scarf as a headscarf protecting her hair in uncertain weather, much like former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy often did. Others wear them around their neck, while many actually frame these wearable works of art and hang them in their home like the masterpieces they are.
