In 1978, the company founded La Montre Hermes SA, to produce watches in Switzerland and distribute watches to all Hermes stores. The Arceau, a watch inspired by the shape of a stirrup, was introduced in the same year. Hermes introduced new watch styles over the years, including the Medor in 1993, H-Hour in 1997 and Cape Cod in 1998.
In 2003, Hermes introduces its most elegant watch line — Dressage — which contains a Manufacture Vaucher movement. In 2006, Hermes acquires a 25% stake in Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier, a highly regarded Swiss watchmaker, ensuring that Hermes’ watches in terms of precision, movement, etc. rank among the best in the world.
