Can I be sure my item is authentic?
Buying from us guarantees the purchase of an authentic product. Every item found on our site is guaranteed authentic. Each item is double or triple authenticated. We access our product from vetted sources and usually know the original origin of purchase, which substantially reduces the risk of fraudulent merchandise. Since we receive each item we sell, we inspect every item to verify authenticity and condition. Every Hermès Birkin and Kelly is authenticated by our supplier, by us and by at least one third party authenticator.
And each item carries our money-back guarantee in the event that a purchased item is found not to be authentic. Proof that the item is not authentic must come from one of the trusted authenticators listed in our Authentication section.
When will my item ship?
We ship Monday through Friday. Orders received before 2pm EST ship the same day. Orders received after 2pm EST may be shipped the next business day. If you wish to have your package shipped on Friday for Saturday or Monday delivery, please let us know.
Clients purchasing an item of less than $10,000 can request overnight shipping for an additional surcharge.Shipping and insurance are complimentary in the United States. We will use USPS if shipping to a PO Box.

Do you ship worldwide?
We ship to all countries that are covered by our cargo insurance, this includes most countries in Asia, Europe and the Gulf, as well as Australia, New Zealand and Canada. We ship via DHL and FedEx for a flat fee which includes both shipping and duties, calculated at checkout. There are a few countries that we cannot ship to including Mainland China, Russia, Mexico and Brazil.Please contact us if you unsure if we ship to your country.
Will I be charged sales tax or custom duties?
We charge sales tax as applicable. Please contact us prior to purchase if you have any questions.
For international orders, our charge covers both shipping and applicable duties.
Will you hand carry items?
Madison Avenue Couture offers hand delivery services for an extra charge. If you wish to have your item hand carried, please contact us.

For orders over $100,000 we require you to call us in advance to arrange payment. Orders placed on our website in excess of $100,000 will automatically be canceled if prior arrangements have not been made.
We reserve the right to decline purchases until payment is received by us.
Why do you have a final sale policy on most items?
Most of our items are in pristine condition coming to us direct from the brands' boutiques. While in our possession, these items are carefully maintained in a temperature-controlled environment and in their original boxes. They are only taken out for inspection, photography and packing, and protective gloves are worn at every step.
Once an item is received by the recipient, we can no longer control the way the item is handled. Even the slightest change in condition, like a smudge or the loss of plastic on the foot of a Hermès bag, substantially reduces the value of the item.
Our commitment to our customers is that they receive the item in the condition described on our website. Therefore, by imposing a "final sale" policy, we ensure that all our items remain in the pristine condition as described.
We accept returns on items classified as mint or excellent condition. Items must be returned in the same condition as sold. Please email sales@madisonavenuecouture.com within 48 hours of receipt of delivery of the item that you wish to return. We will email you a return authorization. Tracking must be sent so we can monitor the delivery. We reserve the right to reject a return if the item appears to have been used.
Can my purchase be financed or placed on layaway?
Madison Avenue Couture has partnered with Affirm to offer financing for any purchase on our website. Subject to Affirm's credit check, it offers financing of up to $17,500 of the purchase price of any item with an up to 12-month payout. Learn more about Affirm financing here.

What is your return policy?
NEW AND NEVER WORN
Madison Avenue Couture does not take returns on new or never used items with the exception of shoes (see below). Any item for which the condition states new, never used, pristine and/or store fresh is a FINAL SALE. FINAL SALE occurs when payment is made and processed by our credit card company or when a bank wire is received. Please inspect the item within 48-hours of delivery as we will not be responsible for any issues regarding the item, with the exception of authenticity, beyond that period.

Our new and never worn handbags are carefully sourced and maintained in pristine, investment-grade condition. As with any luxury asset, their value is closely tied to their untouched state and complete chain of custody. Once an item leaves our possession, even minimal handling can affect both its condition and market value. To preserve the integrity of our inventory and ensure every client receives items that meet our exacting standards, we are unable to accept returns on new, never worn pieces.
SOURCED ITEMS
Madison Avenue Couture does not take returns on items sourced on behalf of a client (or its agent) that were not in our inventory at the time the request was made. Such orders are considered "custom orders" and custom orders, whether new or preloved, are not eligible for return.
PRE-OWNED ITEMS
We accept returns for store credit on items described as "Pre-owned" in the title, providing that the item is in the same condition as when it was sold. Once a payment is made and processed by our credit card company or when a bank wire is received, there is no cancellation, except for store credit. Should you wish to cancel the purchase after that time, we will issue a store credit for the entire amount.
Please email sales@madisonavenuecouture.com within 48 hours of receipt of the item you wish to return. We will issue you an insured return label, the cost of which will be deducted from the store credit.Should you elect to return using your own label, we must receive the item back within four days (seven days for overseas buyers) of notifying us that you would like to return the item.
SHOES
We accept returns for store credit on shoes. Shoes must be returned in the same condition as when they sold. Please email within 48 hours of receipt of the item you wish to return. We will issue you an insured return label.Should you elect to return using your own label, we must receive the item back within four days (seven days for overseas buyers) of notifying us that you would like to return the item. Shoes marked "Final Sale" are not eligible for return or exchange.
EXCHANGES
In the event that we authorize an exchange of your purchase, we required notification within 48 hours of receipt of the original purchase. The item must be returned in the same condition as when it was sold. Exchanges will be handled the same as the Returns section below.
In the unlikely event that we have shipped the incorrect item, we will send you a shipping label. The item needs to be shipped within two business days of receiving the shipping label. On return of the package, we will send you the original purchased item. The item must be returned in the same condition as when it was sold or we will reject the package.
Should our courier lose or severely damage the item inside the package, we will reimburse you after receiving notification from that courier that such item has been severely damaged or lost. Any damage to the outside packaging does not count as damage providing that the item purchased is intact. Please contact us at sales@madisonavenuecouture.com, if a package is received damaged.
RETURNS
On receipt and inspection of the returned item, we will advise of the store credit. The credit will be less our original shipping cost and the return shipping cost. Store credits are valid for 90 days from the date of purchase. On the rare occasion that we approve a credit on any final sale or pre-loved item beyond the terms specified above, it may be subject to a restocking fee of 10% to 15%.
We are not responsible for any return shipped to an incorrect address or lost or damaged in transit. Therefore, we advise that packages containing returns be insured.
We video all items prior to shipping and we reserve the right to reject a return if the item appears to have been used, damaged or switched for another item.
Returns from outside the United States are subject to custom charges and/or foreign exchange charges and these charges will be deducted from the refund.

We invite our clients to sell back items they have purchased from us. Since we work in a fluid marketplace, we need to assess the condition of the item and determine the price based on condition and current market value.

Do you offer personal shopping services?
We provide a personal shopping experience for all our clients. Clients and shoppers are welcome to call to ask questions about any of our products, to check on shipment status or to complete a purchase over the phone rather than online.
You do not have the item I am looking for. Can you find it?
If you are in the market for a specific item, we can try to source it for you. We have an extensive network of suppliers, so if the item is available, we will find it. Please see our "Find It For Me" program.
How does your concierge service work?
We try to fulfill client requests through our own inventory or by sourcing our extensive network of other dealers. If we are able to source an item, we require payment in advance. Once we receive and review the item, we will then require the remainder of payment prior to shipment.
Do you offer gifting services?
Whether you are searching for the perfect gift for a wife, girlfriend, mother, sister, or friend, we can advise on the selection process. We know timing is everything, and Madison Avenue Couture ensures that the gift arrives according to your specifications. Complementary gift wrapping available upon request.
Is my information secure?
We value our clients’ privacy and client information is kept secured. All payment information is kept confidential. Credit card transactions are processed through secure servers and our payment processor does not give us access to credit card information. We do not keep credit card information.
