White Hermès bags are in limited availability.  They are only made of a few leathers – clemence, epsom, evercolor and swift – and in a few styles.  Birkin bags of white are either Hermès special order (HSS) bags, in which the white is paired with a second color, or bags produced several years ago. Kelly bags are also typically Hermès special order (HSS) bags, but Hermes produced non-HSS retourne white Kelly bags in 28cm in epsom and in evercolor in 2020.  Other styles are occasionally offered in white, most recently in evercolor leather.

Perhaps the most famous of the Hermès white crocodile is the Himalaya.  Made of rich nilocious crocodile and dyed to have a pattern resembling the Himalaya mountains, Himalaya Birkin and Kelly bags are considered the “Holy Grail” of Hermès bags.
