This scarf is in silk twill and in a red colorway.
It was designed by Philippe Dumas and was first issued in 2009; it pays tribute to the artisans who paint the earthen walls of Indian homes. This figurative, ornamental and very expressive painting style is characteristic of Indian folk art. Elephants dominant Indian folk art as seen here with three people in traditional festive Indian garb on top of a decorated and bejeweled elephant.
